Youth sports play a vital role in building and strengthening communities in several ways:

  1. Social Cohesion: Participation in youth sports brings together children and families from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging and unity within the community. Through shared experiences, teamwork, and camaraderie, bonds are formed that transcend social, cultural, and economic differences.
  2. Healthy Lifestyles: Engaging in sports promotes physical activity and healthy habits among young people, reducing the risk of obesity and related health issues. By prioritizing physical fitness and well-being, communities can work together to create a healthier population overall.
  3. Character Development: Youth sports provide valuable opportunities for character development, teaching important life skills such as discipline, resilience, leadership, and teamwork. These qualities not only benefit individuals on the field but also translate into success in academics, careers, and personal relationships, contributing to the overall strength of the community.
  4. Community Engagement: Sports events and activities often serve as focal points for community involvement and engagement. From cheering on local teams to volunteering at games and fundraisers, community members come together to support their youth athletes and celebrate their achievements, fostering a sense of pride and solidarity.
  5. Positive Role Models: Coaches, mentors, and other adult figures involved in youth sports serve as positive role models for young athletes, imparting valuable lessons about sportsmanship, integrity, and respect. These relationships help shape the moral fabric of the community and inspire future generations to strive for excellence both on and off the field.

Overall, youth sports serve as a catalyst for building strong, vibrant communities by promoting inclusivity, health, character development, community engagement, and positive role modeling among its participants and supporters.

What does your money mean to the program?

While most of our costs are incorporated into player registration fees, here is a snapshot of where monies go…

Operating a not-for-profit youth football program requires a lot of help from our community, which is why we need you as a sponsor. You can help us support the needs of hundreds of players across our many teams. Funds raised are used in several areas including scholarships, player enrichment programs, coach safety certifications, equipment, maintain affordable registration rates, and much more.

  1. Providing our youth with funding gives them access to football fundamentals, teamwork, safety, exercise, discipline, achievement, resilience, and fun!
  2. Support a local, youth non-profit organization: We have been and will continue to be a cornerstone of the Plainfield community.
  3. Audience Reach: Reach Illinois Rams followers ranging from alumni, current players, parents and community leaders.

As an Illinois Rams sponsor you gain exclusive access and eyeballs on your brand in several ways, depending on your preferred package.

Options include:

  • Exclusive website logo placement at the top and bottom of our home page
  • Email blasts to thousands of Rams community members
  • Social media exclusive posts and post mentions

Additional fundraising dollars are needed to support the following and more:

  • Head coach registration fee reimbursement
  • Player registration fee scholarships for those with financial hardships
  • Illinois Rams alum high school scholarships
  • Training programs for our players and coaches
  • Team Events
  • Subsidize future registration fee increases
