Illinois Rams
Code of Conduct
The Illinois Rams, in a continuing effort to support the enjoyment of football for all parties involved, has instituted a zero tolerance policy along with our code of conduct for all parties involved with Illinois Rams. Above all else remember that this is a youth league where the emphasis is placed on learning and development. By participating in the Illinois Rams youth football program in any capacity you agree to the codes of conduct set forth in this document and will conduct yourself in a sportsmanlike manner.
Zero Tolerance Policy
In the interest of promoting a fair, competitive and family-friendly environment, the Illinois Rams have a Zero Tolerance Policy for unruly behavior at practices, games or other related functions with Illinois Rams members. All Illinois Rams coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, players, and spectators are subject to the Illinois Rams Zero Tolerance Policy. Violations to this Policy will be taken seriously by the Illinois Rams organization and may result in warnings, suspensions or removal from Illinois Rams. Additionally, violations may result in escalation to the American Youth Football League where additional sanctions may be imposed. The Illinois Rams Board reserves the right to administer penalties at its discretion.
Gameday Behavior
Home games are held at fields and facilities rented by the Illinois Rams. Coaches, players, and spectators are expected to respect the facilities, pick-up their garbage, chaperone their children, respect property, and uphold a code of conduct. Illinois Rams board members will monitor fields during Rams games and will take appropriate actions for any violations including but not limited to verbal warnings, ejections, or other sanctions as the Board sees fit. Further, spectators must abide by the respective field location rules and regulations.
Referees
All Illinois Rams members, coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, players, and spectators are expected to uphold this policy and respect the referee(s) regardless of their age or experience. Please be respectful and support the referees and report ANY policy violations to a Illinois Rams coach or board member.
All Coaches and spectators shall support the referee. Failure to do so undermines the referee’s authority and has the potential to create a hostile environment for players, referees and all other participants and spectators. Respects the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion For

Do not place emphasis on winning above good sportsmanship. Do not ridicule or yell at a player for making a mistake or not coming in first. Do not argue with or yell at an official. If you disagree, record the issue(s) on the game card. Verbal abuse of any official will result in your immediate dismissal from the field. Show concern and caution toward sick and injured players. Follow the advice of the physician when determining whether an injured player is ready to recommence training or competition.
